Vietnam: An Epic Tragedy 1945-1975. A talk on his latest book by Max Hastings
Arundells is delighted to host a talk by Max Hastings In aid of Arundells and the Sir Edward Heath Charitable foundation.
"Vietnam: An Epic Tragedy 1945-1975". is Hastings' 25th title. It is a provocative, challenging work that attempts to portray and explain the most divisive conflict since World War II through the eyes of those who lived and fought it. His descriptions of the experiences of American, communist and South Vietnamese soldiers on the battlefield have already won plaudits from veterans who have read his draft manuscript.
This book embraces the entire sweep of the Vietnam saga, from the White House to the cockpits of B-52s bombing the North; from firebases in the Central Highlands to communist camps deep in the triple-canopy jungle, the presidential palace in Saigon and the air-raid shelters of Hanoi.
With this book, Max Hastings sustains his reputation as one of the foremost contemporary chroniclers of the condition of men under fire.

Tickets £22 each (to include a light buffet lunch before the talk.)
